Practical field guide
Make your field-team demo a working conversation.
Bring a representative field day and the questions that matter to your manager.
Bring a representative day.
Choose one typical route rather than your most exceptional day. Describe the employee’s role, the sites visited, the expected updates and what the manager needs to know. Use fictional names and approximate locations; a first conversation does not need customer records or employee personal information.
Write down the tools you use now. Calls, chats, spreadsheets and existing systems may each serve a useful purpose. Identify where updates become late, duplicated or difficult to review.
Follow the worker and the manager.
Ask to see how a worker starts the day, records a visit and handles a change of plan. Then switch to the manager view and follow the same activity. Check what appears automatically, what requires an action and how a missing or stale update is identified.
Explore geofence arrival, location freshness, recorded hours, kilometres and the reports your manager uses. Ask for metric definitions and a complete example. Describe any integration needs explicitly so they can be assessed rather than assumed.
Leave with a clear next step.
Record what was demonstrated, what needs further confirmation and who will answer each open question. If a trial is discussed, agree on its scope, devices, participating roles and review process before starting.
Use the website’s demo questionnaire to organise your priorities. Check its availability message before submitting; a response is only received when the form confirms it. Keep any commercial or service commitments in a separate agreed record.
